Housing Woes

When it rains it pours. I guess Ed is going to have to rev up that "One man and a truck" moving van again. Jillian's rent in her apartment has gone sky high for the next semester so she is looking for another place to live. Her lease is up mid May but we are leaving for our mission trip soon so she will have to be moved out and moved into somewhere else soon. After her test this weekend, she will work more aggressively trying to lock down that final dwelling place.

Christie is also in the same boat. Her lease is up May 2 and we were just informed that they are changing management and will not be offering any RA positions (which we were hoping on for the summer - for free rent) At this point - looks like she will be moving in with Mimi and Dante - family friends about 20 minutes away. Another option would be for her to live on campus - now that the meal plan requirement is over (no longer a freshman) and her working this summer - we may be able to swing the cost of living on campus in a dorm. She is exploring to see if staying over the summer constitutes the requirements for applying as an RA on campus for the Fall semester which would also be free rent. Please keep your fingers crossed that we resolve all these housing issues soon and have a concrete game plan in place.

Ed will fly to Florida April 30 to help Christie get settled and then go to Johnson City the next weekend to help Jillian get situated. Let's Pray it all gets worked out!!!!!
